Synopsis

After a coup reshuffles power in the imperial capital, Duwei gets made Duke of Tulip. To keep his friend Raymond alive, he picks Desa—basically the most backwards province in the northwest—as his domain. From there, things escalate. Duwei's a smart strategist with real magical chops, so he starts building up his territory in a serious way. He raises a magical army, outsmarts dragons, crushes the grassland tribes, and puts down rebellions across the northwest. By the time he's done, he's reshaped the entire region and become a major player in this chaotic period of history.
