When he finds what looks like a strange stone, he discovers it's actually a fossilized baby Kappa that's been buried underground for three centuries. He names the creature Coo and the two quickly become friends. Coo moves in with Kouichi's family, but struggles to adjust to human life and finds himself missing his own kind.
