Nodame Cantabile OVA
Yukihisa Matsuda, who conducts the Rising Star Orchestra, is in Paris to guest conduct Wagner's Tannhäuser Overture with the Recyl Symphony Orchestra. While hanging around the orchestra, he overhears members gushing about Shinichi Chiaki, a young Japanese conductor making waves with the Roux-Marlet Orchestra. Matsuda's not thrilled about sharing the spotlight with another "Black-Haired Noble" in the same city—his contempt is barely hidden. After his own performance, Matsuda gets dumped by his mistress. Needing to blow off steam, he corners Chiaki and drags him out for drinks, claiming they should talk shop about their careers. Of course, the conversation quickly pivots to Chiaki's love life, much to Chiaki's frustration.
