Konpeki no Kantai is a Japanese alternate-history OVA series made by JC Staff. It's based on a 1992 novel by Yoshio Aramaki and imagines a version of the Pacific War where the Imperial Japanese Navy has way more advanced technology. The whole thing kicks off when Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto mysteriously gets sent back in time, which completely changes how the war plays out. The series also features versions of real historical figures from the 1940s, but with altered names—so you get Kingston Churchill instead of Winston Churchill, or Heinrich von Hitler instead of Adolf Hitler.
