Synopsis

Cless, a young swordsman, and Chester, an archer, return home to find their village of Totus completely destroyed by a mysterious Black Knight. The Knight is after the power of Dhaos, a sealed Demon King whose ancestors of Cless and a cleric named Mint had locked away long ago. When Dhaos starts to break free, it threatens not just the Black Knight's plans, but the entire world. Cless and Mint realize they need to travel back a hundred years in time to stop the Demon King before he can fully awaken. Tales of Phantasia The Animation follows their desperate journey into the past, where they meet up with Arche, a half-elf mage, and Klarth, a summoner. The four of them band together to take down Dhaos and his forces, trying to save both the ancient world and their own future.
