The first to manifest their powers were wielders of cosmic and war-based abilities. But trouble's coming—an alien race called the Tao Tie is heading toward Earth, apparently just to entertain the Death God Karthus. Angels, demons, and divine scholars have been watching humanity's god genetics for years, and now they're all making their move. The God Seminary recruits scattered god-touched warriors from around the world to form the Black Troops, an elite fighting force. Leona takes command as their leader, training them for the coming invasion. Meanwhile, Morgana—a fallen angel—shows up on Earth with her own agenda: spreading darkness and destroying the holy Kayle. Angel Yan also arrives to warn humanity about the Tao Tie invasion from the Styx galaxy. Earth quickly becomes ground zero for a massive conflict between multiple civilizations. As chaos unfolds, the Black Troops realize they're in way over their heads—this war is bigger and messier than anyone prepared them for.
