Synopsis

Tanjirou Kamado's been the family breadwinner ever since his father died, working to keep everyone afloat despite their poverty on a remote mountain. Life's been rough but manageable—they get by. One day he heads down to the village to sell charcoal, but gets stuck out after dark. A stranger takes him in and warns him about demons that hunt at night in the woods. When Tanjirou finally makes it home the next morning, he walks into a nightmare. His entire family's been slaughtered. The only survivor is his sister Nezuko—except she's been turned into a demon. Tanjirou's devastated and furious, but instead of giving up on her, he makes a vow: he'll find a way to turn her back and avenge his family no matter what it takes. That's when he gets pulled into the Demon Slayer Corps, an organization dedicated to hunting demons. Tanjirou joins their ranks, determined to become strong enough to protect Nezuko and keep her humanity intact while they search for answers—and take down the demons responsible.
