It's been two thousand years since a massive war destroyed civilization, leaving Earth a wasteland. Humanity's survivors retreated to the Moon, and they've spent centuries waiting for the planet to become habitable again. A boy named Loran Cehack gets sent down to Earth as part of a reconnaissance mission. He sticks around for a year, working for the wealthy Heim family, who live in this oddly Victorian-style society. Like other rich families, they mark coming-of-age with a big ceremony centered around a giant stone statue called the White Doll. Things go sideways when the Moonrace shows up and tries to conquer Earth. During the fighting, the White Doll shatters—and out comes a mobile suit called the Turn A Gundam. With Loran inside it, the mobile suit suddenly becomes the deciding factor in a standoff between Earth and Moon forces. Now Loran and everyone else have to figure out how to keep the peace before another catastrophic war wipes out what's left of humanity.
