Synopsis

It's 2037 in Shibuya, Tokyo. LayereD is an AR platform that overlays the internet onto the real world through special devices, letting people visualize their imagination and express themselves in ways they never could before. Sounds great, right? Except it's not. Behind the scenes, the Varna Counter system automatically removes anything deemed harmful to keep LayereD "clean and healthy"—which basically means the platform isn't nearly as liberating as advertised. Worse, users police each other to enforce these rules, turning what should be a space for freedom into something oppressive and suffocating.
