Synopsis

It's the year 0096 of the Universal Century, and an uneasy peace has settled after years of fighting. Sixteen-year-old Banagher Links is just a regular student on a school trip to the space colony Industrial 7 when a broken shuttle leaves him stranded there. For Banagher, war has always been something from history books—distant and almost unreal. But that changes in an instant when he stumbles across a girl named Audrey Burne and learns she's desperately trying to reach Cardeas Vist, head of the Vist Foundation. She needs to convince him to hide away something called "Laplace's Box," a weapon powerful enough to reshape the world. Suddenly, every faction with military power is converging on Industrial 7—Neo Zeon remnants, Earth Federation Forces, everyone wanting the Box for themselves. In the chaos, as armed forces clash around the colony, Cardeas makes a final decision. He entrusts Banagher with the key to everything: a mobile suit known as the Unicorn Gundam. From here, Banagher gets thrown headfirst into the conflict. Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn RE:0096 follows him as his beliefs are tested and a destiny that's been buried for over a century finally comes to light.
