Months after the chaos of the Ginza Incident, peace talks between the Empire and JSDF have hit a wall. Both sides are getting increasingly tense as they navigate the mysterious Special Region. Meanwhile, word's getting out about how technologically backward the Empire and its neighbors really are—which has every major world power paying closer attention and getting greedier by the day. Back at the Empire's court, things are a nightmare. Lieutenant Itami's stuck dealing with court politics while surrounded by women who are way too interested in him. Princess Piña's doing everything she can to convince her father that the JSDF isn't planning to invade, but nobody's listening. With pressure coming at him from every direction, Itami's running out of options and might have to take some pretty risky steps if he wants to pull off his mission.
