Synopsis

After wrapping up his time in Hoenn, Ash heads to Sinnoh to continue his quest of becoming a Pokémon Master. Things get off to a rough start when Team Rocket immediately tries to steal Pikachu—same old story—but this time Pikachu ends up lost deep in the forest. While searching for him, Ash runs into Brock again, the breeder he's traveled with before, and also meets Shinji, a cocky trainer who only cares about raw power and has zero respect for his own Pokémon. Ash spots a huge electric attack in the distance and rushes toward it, finding Pikachu caught up with Team Rocket and a girl named Dawn. She's a new trainer trying to make it as a Pokémon coordinator. After Ash takes down Team Rocket and reunites with Pikachu, Dawn decides to join them. With the gang back together and a new member in tow, they're ready to explore everything Sinnoh has to offer.
