Synopsis

Subaru gets yanked out of his normal life the moment he leaves a convenience store, suddenly finding himself in a fantasy world with no idea what's happening. Within minutes, things go downhill—he's attacked by thugs and beaten senseless with nothing but his groceries and a dead phone to defend himself. He's saved by Satella, a mysterious woman searching for a stolen insignia, and Subaru decides to help her out. That same night, he actually finds it for her. But something darker is hunting them, and before they can even process what they've found, both of them are killed. Then Subaru wakes up. He's back where he started, facing those same thugs, meeting Satella for the first time all over again. Somehow, impossibly, everything is repeating.
