Synopsis

During a typical raid, rookie sky pirate Coud stumbles across something strange in the cargo hold: Ren, an Edel Reid. These rare beings are highly sought after because they can grant their human partners special combat abilities through a process called Reacting. But Ren turns out to be even more valuable than Coud realizes. When agents from the Edel Reid Complete Protection Agency show up trying to buy her, Coud refuses the deal. The ship gets attacked by an unknown enemy shortly after, and his captain ends up putting Ren's safety entirely in Coud's hands.
