Synopsis

Shuuhei Amamiya transfers to Moriwaki Elementary and makes the mistake of bragging about his piano skills to his new classmates. This catches the attention of bully Daigaku Kanehira, who dares him to find and play a mysterious piano hidden somewhere in the nearby forest—supposedly cursed. The dare leads Shuuhei to Kai Ichinose, a rough kid from the wrong side of town who claims he's the only one who can play the instrument. Curious, Shuuhei follows Kai into the forest and discovers an actual piano. When Kai sits down and plays, it's stunning—nothing like what Shuuhei expected from someone like him. Impressed by what he's heard, and realizing Kai has genuine talent, Shuuhei convinces him to take lessons. Their music teacher, Sousuke Ajino, also recognizes Kai's potential. Before long, Kai finds himself formally studying piano under Ajino's instruction, with Shuuhei as an unlikely friend and rival pushing him forward.
