Synopsis

Shun Tokinoya has stayed away from online gaming ever since a tragic accident killed his father and disabled his sister. Wracked with guilt over his old gamer lifestyle, he's turned his life around—now a model student working part-time at a cybercafe owned by his childhood friend Nozomi Inatsuki to help support his family. But everything changes when disaster strikes the Inatsuki household. Nozomi's father's esports team, FOX ONE, suddenly loses all its players, and the family is left drowning in debt. With no other options, Shun reluctantly agrees to compete in the Xaxerion Championship tournament to help them dig out of the hole. He and Nozomi team up with their classmate Akito Sendou to recruit new talent for FOX ONE. They manage to find a couple of solid players, which is great—except Shun's crippling guilt is becoming a serious problem. If he can't shake it, their ragtag team doesn't stand a chance at winning.
