Synopsis

At the Hokkyoku Department Store, there's one golden rule: the word "no" doesn't exist in a salesperson's vocabulary. That's what Akino learns pretty quickly in her new job, where she's constantly scrambling to meet impossible customer demands. Here's the catch though — the customers are all animals, and not just any animals. The store caters exclusively to extinct species: sea minks, laughing owls, Japanese wolves, and even a mammoth named Mr. Woolly who happens to be a renowned sculptor with works displayed throughout the store. It's the ultimate luxury retail experience, which means the requests get weird fast. Customers want rare merchandise hunted down, relationship advice, you name it. Inexperienced and anxious, Akino's juggling all of this while being watched like a hawk by her fussy floor manager Mr. Todo, a creepy consultant gunning to cut staff, and the store's mysterious president (definitely not a penguin). If she wants to keep her job, she'll need to pull off the impossible and actually make these temperamental customers happy.
