It's some point in the near future. Humans called Concodes partner with advanced AIs known as Codemen to compete in ZENOZARD, a card battle game that's become a massive worldwide phenomenon. The sport's biggest event is THE ZENON, the world championship tournament that has everyone hyped up. Souta Azuma is just your average high school student until a mysterious woman named Eilietta Lash challenges him to a match. She drops the bomb that she's a Codeman and wants him to team up with her for THE ZENON. Souta's not exactly thrilled about it, but he agrees anyway. Things get awkward fast when their first match puts them face-to-face with Shion Saionji, a wildly popular player who happens to go to Souta's school, along with her Codeman partner Ash Claude.
