Synopsis

Zuku's a thief and orphan just trying to survive. One night after a heist, a strange little girl appears and tells him to head to a nearby pine grove beach. When he gets there, he finds an unconscious woman draped in this gorgeous, shimmering veil. The material's so beautiful that he just grabs it and runs. But the woman wakes up and begs him to give it back. It's the only thing she remembers—the veil means everything to her. Zuku doesn't care though. He brushes off her desperate pleas and leaves her behind. He has no idea that this random encounter is about to turn his whole world upside down. The story draws from a classic Japanese legend and follows two broken people whose lives become intertwined. As they learn to support each other through their struggles, the series explores how compassion can soften even the hardest hearts.
