Twenty-five centuries ago in India, a prince named Siddhartha of the Shakya clan abandoned his royal life to explore the world. During his travels, he encountered a mysterious boy called Assaji who possessed the ability to see the future, as well as a one-eyed monk. Troubled by the widespread suffering he witnessed, Siddhartha became determined to bring peace to his people. Around the same time, Prince Ruri of Kosara launched an invasion against the Shakya clan.
