Wolf's Rain
The world is dying, but legend says paradise waits at the end—and only wolves can find the way there. Wolves have been extinct for ages, except they haven't. They're still around, just hiding among humans using illusions. Kiba, a lone wolf, follows an intoxicating scent to Freeze City, a run-down town ruled by the brutal Lord Orkham. There he meets three other wolves—Hige, Tsume, and Toboe—all drawn by the same smell. They've picked up the scent of Lunar Flowers, supposedly the key to opening the gate to paradise, and decide to search for them together. What follows is a journey across wastelands and abandoned cities in pursuit of the wolves' promised land. But they're not the only ones after it. Others are hunting paradise too, and some of them are willing to do whatever it takes to get there first.
