Synopsis

Seventeen-year-old Sayako Amanokawa dreams of becoming a journalist like Kanemoto, a respected newspaper writer she deeply admires. When Kanemoto's career is destroyed by a false report about corruption and he kills himself by jumping in front of a train, Sayako is somehow affected by his death—she suddenly gains the ability to see spirits and nearly dies herself. The experience awakens something in her. Driven by her journalist instincts and a need to understand what happened, Sayako decides to dig into the truth. But she quickly discovers that whatever's blocking her path is far more dangerous than she bargained for.
