Kuroko's Basketball
Kuroko no Basket
Teikou Middle School ruled junior high basketball for years thanks to the "Generation of Miracles"—five elite players who seemed unstoppable. But there was a sixth player too, someone working behind the scenes. Together they became legendary, but the constant winning eventually burned them out. The group fell apart when they started high school, each going their separate ways. When Seirin High's basketball team picks up two freshman recruits, they think they've found exactly what they need. Taiga Kagami is a former American player with real talent and genuine passion for the game. Tetsuya Kuroko, on the other hand, is basically invisible on the court and doesn't seem particularly athletic. Plot twist: he's actually that phantom sixth man from Teikou, the hidden member of the Generation of Miracles. Kuroko's determined to show everyone at Seirin that he's got his own kind of strength. Kagami buys into it, and the two form a partnership—Kagami becomes the "light," the flashy scorer, while Kuroko plays "shadow," pulling the strings behind the scenes. With the rest of their new team backing them up, they've got their sights set on winning the Interhigh championship. But when Kuroko's old teammates start resurfacing, things get complicated fast.
