Synopsis

A young boy named Jiro comes home to find his mother and sister dead. Framed for the murders, he escapes his village and crosses paths with a priest named Tenkai, who recruits him to kill a rogue ninja called Tarouza. Jiro accepts and begins training as an assassin. Years later, the truth comes out: Jiro's an orphan, and Tarouza was actually his biological father. Tarouza had once worked for Tenkai but abandoned his mission after falling in love with an Ainu woman. It turns out the Shogunate was after Captain Kidd's lost treasure—they planned to use it to shut Japan off from the world again. Using clues his father had hidden away, Jiro embarks on a journey across Russia and America to find the treasure himself. He's joined by Oyuki, a female ninja, and Sam, a slave. Their real goal? Get their hands on the treasure and use it to finally take down Tenkai.
