Synopsis

Yi-rang sabotages herself during a relay race, torn between her fading dream of becoming an athlete and her fear of losing. When transfer student Soo-min arrives from Seoul and Cheol-soo—a kid with big dreams of becoming a scientist—enter her world, the three of them navigate adolescence together, all equally uncertain and searching. This warmhearted animated film follows how Yi-rang's encounters with these good people shape her journey, capturing that particular flutter and confusion of being young. Set across the '80s and '90s, it's filled with nostalgic details—an old umbrella, a railroad cutting through the downtown area—that hit different now. The film uses these touches to remind us of something we've lost, that bittersweet ache of looking back.
