Synopsis

The Takakura family knows all about bad luck. After losing their parents, twin brothers Kanba and Shouma are left to care for their sickly younger sister Himari, whose health has basically hit rock bottom. When the boys finally get to take her out for a day at the aquarium—a rare treat—she suddenly collapses. It seems like the end, but then something impossible happens: a cheap penguin hat from the gift shop somehow brings her back to life. The catch? Himari's revival comes with a price. There's now something inside her, and it's got demands. To keep Himari alive, the brothers need to track down a mysterious object called the Penguin Drum. What starts as a desperate search turns into something way bigger—they end up uncovering secrets from their own past and crossing paths with other people who are also hunting for the drum, each with their own reasons and their own hopes for changing their fate.
