Synopsis

Lord Haven rules a quiet village in Djana En until he and his wife are suddenly killed. His son Redon, who's been restless with village life anyway, is forced to flee with a few others. When they're cornered at God's Wall—the magical barrier that keeps Djana En sealed off from the outside world—a mysterious voice calls out to Redon. It tells him there's an opening in the wall and promises he can reach Crystania beyond it, where he'll gain real power. With nowhere else to go, Redon and his group escape through the passage. But the Crystania they find is nothing like the legends described. Instead of a land of wonders, they're immediately dealing with dangerous creatures and shape-shifting beastmen. For a while, it seems like they've landed somewhere even worse than home. Things improve once they run into a couple of travelers who actually know what's going on in Crystania and can help them navigate the mess.
