Synopsis

Takagi and Mashiro, working under the pen name Muto Ashirogi, just got their manga "Detective Trap" serialized—a huge step toward their dream of becoming world-famous mangaka. But for Mashiro, serialization is only the beginning. He promised his childhood sweetheart Azuki Miho, an aspiring voice actress, that he'd marry her once his manga gets an anime adaptation. So now he's got to push even harder to make Ashirogi's work a hit. The manga world is packed with talented competitors who both clash with and support the duo. There's Eiji Niizuma, a wild creative genius; Yuriko Aoki, a classy student mangaka; her older partner Takurou Nakai; Kazuya Hiramaru, a lazy but gifted artist; and Shinta Fukuda, an abrasive guy with serious skills. All of them are fighting for the same dream. Things get tougher when Takagi and Mashiro have to work with a new, inexperienced editor. They're racing to keep their serialization alive, dominate the rankings in Shounen Jack, and ultimately land that anime adaptation. The 2nd season follows their journey as they juggle intense competition, new friendships, hard work, and young romance.
