Synopsis

After finally defeating a major threat, Goku and his friends are enjoying a peaceful life on Earth. But their calm doesn't last long. Out in space, Beerus—the God of Destruction—wakes up from a centuries-long nap. He'd been dreaming about a Super Saiyan God, and now he's determined to find this legendary warrior for a fight. With his attendant Whis by his side, Beerus learns that the Saiyan homeworld is long gone, so he heads to Earth to hunt down the remaining Saiyans—specifically Goku. Goku and the others have only heard stories about the Super Saiyan God, so they call on the Eternal Dragon Shen Long for answers. The dragon's terrified of Beerus, which is a bad sign. Once they figure out what a Super Saiyan God actually is, Goku challenges Beerus to a fight. The battle between them is absolutely brutal, and the sheer force of their clash nearly destroys Earth itself.
