Synopsis

After finishing middle school, Tonbo Ooi leaves her quiet island home in Tokara and heads to Kumamoto to pursue golf seriously. Her mentor Kazuyoshi Igarashi uses his connections to get her accepted as a student under coach Hajime Udou. At first, Tonbo struggles to impress—her unconventional swing and limited experience with different clubs work against her. But she proves herself at her first tournament appearance, relying on the unique strengths that actually set her apart. Hajime and everyone around her are impressed by what she shows. Before long, Tonbo's competing in the Kyushu Women's Championship, where she faces off against familiar rivals and new challengers. Now she's ready to push deeper into professional golf.
