Synopsis

Sawako Kuronuma gets stuck with the nickname "Sadako" because she looks like the creepy girl from The Ring—which is basically the worst reputation to have. Everyone assumes she's this scary, malicious person, when really she's just shy and kind of a sweetheart who desperately wants friends and a normal high school life. She's naturally drawn to Shouta Kazehaya, the class's golden boy who's effortlessly popular and charismatic. From day one, Sawako admires how he commands attention and wishes she could be more like him. When Kazehaya invites her to a class test of courage event, Sawako jumps at the chance to finally connect with people. She starts opening up to classmates like Ayane Yano and Chizuru Yoshida, and with each new interaction, she feels like Kazehaya's presence in her life is genuinely changing her for the better. What she doesn't realize yet is that she's changing him too.
