Synopsis

With Araragi and Senjougahara gone after graduation, Suruga Kanbaru is one of the few familiar faces left at Naoetsu Private High School. When rumors start spreading about some mysterious "Devil" capable of magically solving anyone's problems, she immediately assumes it's about her and her Monkey's Paw. She decides to track down whoever's behind it. Turns out the "Devil" is actually Rouka Numachi, an old basketball rival from junior high. A leg injury ended Rouka's playing days, so now she runs a free advice service instead. She basically collects people's misfortunes, giving them false hope that their problems might actually get solved—which apparently makes her feel better about her own situation. Kanbaru doesn't see the harm in it exactly, but she calls Rouka out for the lying anyway and heads home, glad to confirm she's not the one causing all the fuss. Only problem? When she gets back, she realizes her left hand has turned completely human again.
