Synopsis

Okuto Nakamura is a shy, awkward guy who basically only cares about two things: his pet octopus and Aiki Hirose, a genuinely nice classmate. He's had a crush on the cheerful Hirose since their first day of high school, but his terrible social skills have kept him watching from the sidelines. Eventually he works up the nerve to actually talk to him. Of course, things go hilariously wrong right off the bat—his awkwardness makes such a weird first impression that any chance of friendship seems dead in the water. Fortunately, school life means he and Hirose have to work together constantly, giving Nakamura plenty of chances to fix his mistake. The real question is whether he can actually pull it off and turn Hirose into a genuine friend.
