In ancient times, the God of Destruction Miguel was sealed away inside Sturmhurt, a knight who controlled light and darkness. Gestöber fought alongside him through endless battles. Fast forward to now, and these two are reincarnated as ordinary high schoolers—Kabuto Hanadori and Seri Koyuki, who happen to be classmates. Sounds like a sweet reunion, right? Except there's a problem: it's all in Kabuto's head. The whole thing is pure delusion. Seri gets dragged into Kabuto's fantasies as the fictional "Gestöber," constantly finding himself in ridiculous and embarrassing situations because of Kabuto's out-of-control antics. Things get worse when their classmate Utsugi Tsukimiya shows up with an unnervingly accurate mind-reading ability, which basically destroys what's left of Seri's reputation. Seri desperately wants nothing to do with either of them and tries to ignore their nonsense completely. But with Kabuto's full-blown chuunibyou and Utsugi's complete unpredictability, Seri doesn't stand a chance. He's getting swept up in the chaos whether he likes it or not.
