Hand Maid Mai
Hideo Ozu works as an editor for a seedy adult video company, but he's always wanted to be a real director. His childhood friend Mai Kurosawa has made it big as an actress, so when she steals all his amateur footage of her and cuts him out of her life, it crushes him. Drunk and reeling after the confrontation, he literally runs into a Cyberdoll named Sara who gets him to sign some paperwork. Back at his apartment, Hideo discovers three Cyberdolls waiting for him—Mai, Ai, and Mie—each one designed to look like Mai at different ages. Things get worse when the real Mai Kurosawa announces she's releasing a biographical video using his old footage without permission. That's when it clicks for Hideo: he'll use his three Cyberdoll versions of Mai to finally make the film he's always dreamed of.
