Synopsis

Chako Ishibashi is just your average middle schooler living your average middle school life. The only weird thing? Her desk neighbor, Shibainuko-san, is literally a Shiba Inu. Like, an actual dog—floppy ears, snout, the whole deal. Despite looking nothing like a human, Shibainuko-san somehow fits right in. She's polite, thoughtful, and has this mix of dog and human mannerisms that everyone loves. The strangest part is that nobody else seems to notice or care that she's, you know, a dog. Everyone just treats her like a normal classmate. Chako finds the whole thing bizarre. How is a dog even allowed to attend school? How is nobody questioning this? Together with her best friend Naho, Chako keeps finding herself caught up in all sorts of small, weird situations with Shibainuko-san—all while trying to figure out if she's actually a dog, or if something even weirder is going on.
