Synopsis

This is an anime special created for NTV's "24-Hour Television" charity event in 1981. Tezuka Production made the film under Osamu Tezuka's direction, continuing a tradition that started in 1978. The story loosely follows the Bremen Town Musicians fairy tale, centering on four animals: Coda the cat, Alegro the dog, Largo the donkey, and Minuet the chicken. They rescue an alien named Rondo who's on a peace mission. Grateful, Rondo gives them a machine that transforms them into humans. Once they've taken human form, they venture into town—only to witness the horrors of war firsthand.
