Synopsis

The Yamada family is pretty much like any other household—they bicker over groceries, have the TV playing in the background, and get into all kinds of everyday chaos. On the surface, they seem pretty ordinary, nothing that'd turn heads. But underneath the grumpy attitudes and complaints, they actually care about each other a lot. They make sure to find reasons to smile and laugh, even when their day-to-day life is pretty boring and unremarkable. Tonari no Yamada-kun is basically a warm, funny slice-of-life that captures what it's really like to be part of a typical Japanese family.
