Violinist Kiyora Miki and her friends—including Shinichi Chiaki and Nodame Noda—travel to Vienna to meet the renowned conductor Franz von Stresemann. They're disappointed to find he's already left for Japan, but they make the most of it by exploring Vienna's classical music landmarks. While they're there, Kiyora opens up about something she's been keeping to herself: she hasn't seen her boyfriend Ryuutarou Mine in a year and is caught up preparing for an international violin competition in Paris. Chiaki and Nodame agree to come watch her perform in the final round. But when they get back to Paris, they get a surprise visitor.
