Sixteen years after a meteor leveled it, Graviton City has been rebuilt into a gleaming futuristic metropolis. But none of that matters to Eiko Magami, a superpowered high school student who's only got two things on her mind: her best friend Shiiko and getting to class on time. There's just one problem—Biko Daitokuji, a genius-level intellect, has decided she's going to replace Eiko and become Shiiko's best friend instead. To make that happen, Biko figures she needs to beat Eiko in a fight. Since Eiko's got super strength and speed on her side, Biko does what any brilliant teenager would do: she builds a mecha. She challenges Eiko to a duel right at the school gates. Just as their battle kicks off, an absolutely massive spaceship appears in Earth's orbit, searching for something it left behind.
