Bai Fa Shen La
Shen La works as a special investigator for the Poll Bureau, an agency that handles mysterious incidents. After getting critically wounded on a mission, he's on death's door when Wu Rendi, the director of the Sixth Office, passes on a mysterious "seed" with strange powers. Shen La survives and becomes a disciple of Guangren, Wu Rendi's senior brother. From there, things get complicated. Shen La has to track down fragments of the Tianli Diagram while dealing with all sorts of dangerous situations—wolf tombs, energy backlash, conspiracies, you name it. Eventually Wu Rendi recognizes his growth and gives him an ancient artifact: the Twin Swords of Crime and Punishment. Meanwhile, the Poll Bureau's mole problem keeps getting messier and harder to untangle. With his partner Sun Desheng at his side, Shen La jumps back into action to figure out what's really going on.
