Synopsis

Shinonome Hajime is an adventurer working out of Silver Range, grinding through guild quests to make a living. During a routine monster-hunting mission for meat, he stumbles across Lily, a strange girl trapped in a dungeon. She's basically helpless and heading straight for death, so he saves her—though honestly she seems like more of a headache than anything. But then her backstory hits different. It mirrors his own past pretty closely, and something about that connection makes him decide to take her in and look after her.
