After getting a letter from phantom thief Kaitou Kid, popular actress Juri Maki hires private detective Kogorou Mouri to protect the Star Sapphire—a legendary jewel said to embody faith, fate, and hope. Convinced he's cracked Kid's riddle, Kogorou shows up at the newly built space theater where Juri is performing in a play called "Josephine," ready to catch the thief in action. The next day, Juri invites Conan and his friends to her vacation home to celebrate Kid's failed heist and the play's success. But things go downhill fast when someone gets murdered during the flight there. What starts as one incident spirals into a full-blown crisis. Now Conan and Kid—two sides that normally oppose each other—have to team up if they want to save their friends and everyone else on the plane.
