Synopsis

Witches have a tradition: at fifteen, they've got to leave home and strike out on their own to properly study their craft. Makoto Kowata follows this path, leaving her family in Yokohama and heading north to Aomori with her black cat familiar, Chito. The region's packed with nature and magical energy—basically witch heaven. She moves in with her second cousins Kei and Chinatsu, and that's where her new life begins. On the surface, Makoto's just another high school student. But between talking to a fortune-telling dog, getting weird magic lessons from her older sister Akane, and everything else that comes with being a practicing witch, her daily life is anything but normal. It's the little magical quirks woven into everyday moments—shared with friends and family—that make up her world.
