Synopsis

Socially anxious Renako Amaori is tired of watching everyone else have fun. Determined to reinvent herself as an outgoing person, she ditches her old look, practices her social skills, and transfers to a high school where nobody knows her past. Things move fast—she quickly becomes friends with Mai Ouzuka, a famous model, and gets pulled into her social circle. But keeping up the act of being a completely different person turns out to be way harder than she expected. After a genuine heart-to-heart with Mai, Renako feels like they could become actual best friends. Then the next day, Mai hits her with a confession—she's in love with her. Renako isn't interested in dating, so she tries to convince Mai they should just stay friends. Mai's having none of it though. Instead, she suggests they try dating and being friends at the same time, figuring out which one actually works for them. Renako keeps pushing back, desperate to preserve their friendship. But as Mai gets bolder and bolder with her advances, Renako's starting to wonder if maybe she's the one changing her mind.
