Ninjas supposedly went extinct, but they've made a comeback in postwar Japan. There are supposedly around two hundred thousand of them now, and they've infiltrated pretty much everywhere—government agencies, private companies, you name it. They're basically the country's go-to for covert ops. Kurou Kumogakure is one of these ninjas, except he's kind of a mess. He lives in a crappy apartment, does basically nothing all day, and has a habit of stealing beer from his neighbors. Not exactly the dangerous assassin type—or so it seems. But this 17-year-old slacker might be a lot more capable than his lazy lifestyle suggests. Everything changes when Kurou gets a mission: infiltrate a local high school. Sounds straightforward enough, except it's definitely not. There's way more going on than he bargained for.
