In a future where hip-hop rules everything, talented rappers perform in events called Phantom Lives. Using a special material called Phantometal—which responds to a rapper's DNA—they transform their emotions into stunning visual illusions for the crowd. The catch? Using Phantometal forces rappers to relive their worst traumas and painful memories in what's called a Trap Reaction. The more intense the emotions involved, the worse the fallout can be, sometimes leaving lasting psychological damage. After vanishing for a decade, the legendary group CLUB Paradox suddenly reappears and announces a new competition: Paradox Live. The prize pool is massive—10 billion yen—and four top groups are invited to compete: BAE, The Cat's Whiskers, cozmez, and Akanyatsura. Each group has their own reasons for entering despite the sketchy circumstances surrounding the whole thing. But they're about to discover that winning this competition comes at a price nobody quite anticipated.
