In their final year of middle school, the five members of CRYCHIC fell apart after a messy breakup. Each girl carried her own regrets into high school, and they all made sure to enroll at different schools—hoping to never see each other again. Then Anon Chihaya transfers to Haneoka Girls' Academy mid-year. Since most students there are in bands, she's eager to fit in and immediately starts looking for members to form her own group, planning to be the vocalist. She gets close to Tomori Takamatsu, a quiet girl who seems interested but keeps holding back. Turns out Tomori was in CRYCHIC, and it left her pretty damaged. Through Tomori, Anon ends up meeting Taki Shiina and Soyo Nagasaki—also former CRYCHIC members. Taki wants nothing to do with playing music again, but Soyo's actually keen to help Anon out. With Soyo on board, Anon's band dream is suddenly doable. She just needs to find a couple more people willing to play.
