My Sister Momoko
Momoko, Kaeru no Uta ga Kikoeru yo.
Momoko has both intellectual and physical disabilities and attends a special school, which frustrates her every morning—she wants to go to regular school with her twin brother Riki instead. Her family calms her down by singing her favorite song, "The Song of Frogs." During an open classroom day, Momoko cheers Riki on during a dodgeball game, and his team wins. Ryuji, whose team lost, gets angry and tells Riki to stop bringing his "idiot sister" to school. Riki snaps and punches him hard. The next year, the school starts an integrated education program, and Momoko joins Riki's regular school. But her health gets worse, and she ends up hospitalized. Riki and her classmates want to cheer her up, so they decide their goal is to win the relay race and share the victory with her. There's just one problem: Ryuichi, the team's fastest runner, refuses to participate.
