Synopsis

Fourteen-year-old Masaki Hinaoka is an energetic guy who runs along the beach every morning with his corgi, and one sunrise he spots a blond boy surfing with such grace and ease that he can't look away. Turns out this mysterious surfer, Shou Akitsuki, ends up in his class the next day. Shou's been surfing since he was a kid and is genuinely talented at it. Masaki's best friend Nalu is half-Hawaiian and loves surfing too, but Masaki's never cared about trying it—until he sees Shou out on the water. Watching him is enough to make Masaki finally want to give surfing a shot, even though he can't actually swim. What's surprising is how naturally talented Masaki turns out to be. He picks things up fast, especially when it comes to balance, and soon he's competing in local contests with Shou and Nalu supporting him. But there's something darker going on beneath Shou's friendly exterior, something that could become a real problem. Still, Masaki throws himself into surfing without hesitation, determined to become the best.
